Loon Lake

Loon Lake Research and Education Centre is located approximately 1 hour east of downtown Vancouver, on the shores of Loon Lake. This beautiful lakeside setting is found within the UBC Malcolm Knapp Research Forest, a 5000 hectare forest dedicated to research and education in the field of Forestry. With Golden Ears Park to the east, Pitt Lake to the west and extensive areas of Crown forest to the North, this setting is truly an extensive wilderness, with a lot of history and educational opportunities contained within it. In 2003, UBC signed an agreement with the Canadian Cancer Society which designates Loon Lake as the permanent home of Camp Goodtimes.

Agassiz

UBC in conjunction with Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) and the BC dairy industry established the UBC Dairy Education & Research Centre located at Agassiz, BC, 35 km southwest of Hope. The Dairy Centre is designed to provide education and technology transfer research programs in support of the dairy industry in BC and beyond. It provides opportunities in training for industry workers and college technical students as well as hands-on practical and research experience for undergraduate students.

Kelowna

UBC Okanagan opened in September 2005 as a distinctive, small university campus. Today it has over 5,000 students enrolled and is continuing to grow to serve the needs of the Okanagan region and increasing access to the internationally recognized UBC degree. As its student numbers increase and the campus master plan becomes reality, UBC Okanagan will continue to feature small class sizes, experiential learning, community involvement, and direct access to research activity. UBC Properties Trust is continuously working with the UBC Okanagan community to achieve their goal of serving the post-secondary education needs of 7,500 students.
